Summary of a review of literature on the impact of working context and support on the postgraduate research student learning experience

The review used a systematic approach modelled on the Institute of Education's EPPICentre methodology (http://eppi.ioe.ac.uk/cms/) the basis of which is described later in this summary. Literature was initially collected from a range of countries offering a "UK-style" doctorate but the volume of literature required the review to be narrowed down to UK studies.
