As hard as it might be to imagine students really do get bored at university. In this session findings from a recently completed boredom survey identify the most commonly associated sites and triggers as well as the coping strategies employed by individuals as a result. For those students measurably more prone to academic boredom than others the consequences of actually getting bored on a regular basis are far from trivial and not to be overlooked. The implications arising from findings including suggestions for boredom mitigation are presented and considered. |
