This publication is part of the Advance HE Connect Benefit Series theme of 'sustainability for everyone: here and now' and brings together two important priority areas in higher education: leadership and sustainability.
It draws extensively on the contributions of several expert voices, each with experience of leading sustainability and significant change in the sector including Professor Nazira Karodia, Professor Eunice Simmons, Meg Baker, Professor Jim Longhurst and Professor Simon Kemp, all of whom contributed to the webinar 'Leading
sustainability in higher education: leading for a lost cause?' that took place as part of this project in March 2021. This publication foregrounds the key points and arguments expressed by panel members during this webinar, along with case studies and further reflections.
