Teaching Land-scape Through Story-telling: Learning From the Subjective to Traverse Disciplines

This case study describes an approach to teaching landscape which prioritises the students' subjective and experiential position as the basis for their learning development. Mixed media projects provide the framework for a multi-disciplinary group to explore the relationship between methodology representation and idea. The case study focuses on the learning and teaching methodologies adopted within a 10 week course for undergraduates within the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the University of Brighton and will have relevance to a wide range of students studying art design and architecture.
