The teaching research interface: implications for practice in HE and FE

There has been a growing interest in recent years in what has been termed the nexus between teaching and research and its impact on student learning. There can be important disciplinary differences in the relationship based in part on: the nature of knowledge within the discipline; different forms of pedagogy and variations in delivery and assessment; and the nature and organisation of research within the discipline. Moreover the relationship can take many forms. The papers cover the impact of technology including video and VLEs issues of widening participation and social inclusion and developments in the FE sector.
