Untrained Underpaid Undervalued? Results from the NUS survey of postgraduates who teach.

NUS recently released its report on the experiences of postgraduates who teach at their institution. Postgraduate teachers are critical to the provision of high-quality teaching and learning in HE and the experience is very important for PGR students looking for an academic career. The report highlighted a number of major concerns about the pay and conditions for postgraduates as well as the lack of formal training and induction in some institutions. This workshop will run through some of the key results of the NUS postgraduate teaching survey and the recommendations made by NUS regarding good practice for postgraduates who teach.
