Updates from teaching and learning projects

The project recognises the need to provide learning materials in basic mathematics to some student cohorts prior to university entry which can be accessed over the summer. At UWE we find a significant number of part-time students who are part of the mature student group need time to become confident with basic mathematical skills covered in previous courses. Although there are many excellent on-line learning resources experience of working with this group of students suggests that a more structured approach with some personal involvement would be more effective.
