Using the National Student Survey for enhancement

The National Student Survey (NSS) continues to sit at the heart of the public information offering on Higher Education and is currently under review. Forming part of the quality assurance framework and originally devised (and still intended) to support prospective students’ choice of institution and degree programme the survey has come also to represent a real opportunity for enhancement.

The Academy remains at the centre of the work devoted to realising this enhancement potential. This short piece outlines some issues and emerging trends arising from the Academy’s NSS work.
