Working with students to create authentic and timely course evaluation: A case study using a structured qualitative approach - HEA Annual Conference 2017 - Generation TEF: Teaching in the spotlight

A Post Graduate Diploma in Physician Associate (PA) Studies is undertaking a less conventional qualitative evaluation of students’ feedback in order to encapsulate nuanced and rich data. The methodology uses students’ existing learning groups to identify and agree evaluation. The themes identified by students inform an evaluation report that is disseminated through the Delphi method to both students and PA faculty. The resulting report can be quickly edited and validated. A clear dissemination of the report occurs within short time frames that makes rich evaluation available for the monitoring of course quality that may be of interest for the TEF.
