London South Bank University (LSBU) will be providing the live case study for Module 1 of the Leading Transformation in Learning and Teaching (LTLT) programme in May 2019.

The live case study will be titled 'Transformation and Stewardship – Launching a Higher Education Strategy for the Future'.  LSBU are currently in the process of developing a new education strategy around learning, teaching and student support. The challenge of engagement around the strategy at the institution will be the focus of the case study.

Balancing continuity and change is one of the key challenges in any large-scale strategic change initiative. The 'Transformation and Stewardship' section of the title of this case study, and the content of the programme, will explore this challenge in an exciting and innovative way.

Doug Parkin, director of the Leading Transformation in Learning and Teaching programme

Our Education Strategy is the outcome of lots of conversations and ideas, involving students and staff. In the context of sector-wide financial challenges, it takes forwards priorities for London South Bank University, and recognises national and global debates. Our goal is a simple and powerful document, capturing and reinforcing real institutional commitment.

Professor Shân Wareing, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) at LSBU

The programme is designed to develop, enhance or transform learning and teaching programmes and courses in higher education. It will provide the opportunity for a more extended learning experience interspersed with time for both reflection and the application of ideas. The LSBU case study will emphasise themes of academic leadership, assessment and qualification framework and equality, diversity and inclusion.

The next cohort of the Leading Transformation in Learning and Teaching programme commences on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 May 2019. Applications close on Friday 10 May 2019.
