Advance HE members delivering higher education in colleges are set to celebrate the ongoing contribution of college-based HE at the second annual Festival of Scholarly Activity and Research on 8 July.
Taking place at University Centre Peterborough, the Festival, run by the College-Based HE Network, is an opportunity to network and collaborate on developing and fostering a higher education culture and ethos within a further education college.
Keynote speaker, Gabe Manthorp from Newham College London, will address delegates on the role college-based HE providers can play in the future of English higher education alongside a mix of poster sessions, lightning talks and workshops covering topics such as AI, innovation in teaching and learning and student wellbeing and engagement.
Karen Taylor, Head of Membership (Tertiary) at Advance HE, said,

National Teaching Repository
Advance HE’s CBHE Collection is the main output from the CBHE Network during this academic year which will be highlighted at the Festival by Karen Taylor and chair of the CBHE Network Miki Evue, Head of Department for Higher Education & Professional Studies at the University Centre at Salford City College.
The Collection sits within the National Teaching Repository, a one-stop shop of resources geared towards helping academics, lecturers, researchers and other staff working in college based higher education to understand, access, use and share scholarly activity.
