Spring
- 21 March 2018: Three legacy organisations merge to become Advance HE
- Advance HE celebrates reaching 100,000 Fellows
- 140 attends the annual surveys conference
Summer
- The student academic experience survey finds that 38% of students in the UK perceive 'Good or very good' value from their course
- 100 attend the Leadership Summit
- 656 attend the Teaching and Learning Conference
- The chief executive group for Advance HE is announced
- Advance HE launches the Board Vacancies Portal
- Steering Group established to lead an independent review of the Athena SWAN Charter
- 15 teams awarded Collaborate Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE)
- 54 new National Teaching Fellows (NTFs) announced
Autumn
- Athena SWAN results announced with 148 awards granted for 203 applications
- 296 delegates network at the NET conference
- 153 meet for the EDI conference
- 130 attends the Governance conference
- UKES survey reveals that 8/10 undergraduates feel that their course engages them in critical thinking
- PRES survey finds that 8/10 postgraduate researchers are satisfied overall
- PTES survey shows that 9/10postgraduates are satisfied with their experience
- The 5,000th delegate is welcomed on the Aurora programme
Winter
- Advance HE celebrates 10,000 HEA Senior Fellows
- Advance HE’s Top Management Programme (TMP) visits Singapore as part of a working visit
- The Fellowship Category Tool is launched and has been used by 4,184 higher education professionals so far.
- Advance HE reaches 50 Race Equality Charter members
- 241 attend the STEM conference
- Australia celebrates its first Athena SWAN awards
