‘Responsive and agile’ - new programmes and events portfolio 2023-24 launched

12 Jun 2023 | Advance HE Advance HE's new portfolio for 2023-24 will play an invaluable role in supporting the sector’s drive in enhancing practice, whilst improving the quality that underpins student, staff and institutional success.

Advance HE has launched its new portfolio of development programmes, conferences and events for 2023-24, marking the organisation’s 5th anniversary.

The portfolio is shaped by feedback from the sector, blending high quality learning and insight-sharing opportunities, delivered using a range of innovative techniques and platforms both in-person and virtually. Those who book early can take advantage of the early-bird discount, with 10% off selected programmes on bookings before 30 September.

A new feature this year is the digital Development Planner, designed for those looking to enhance their practice, share insights or identify the next step in their professional development. By answering a few short questions, the planner will guide users to a range of development opportunities that meet their needs. There is also the option to customise parts of the portfolio to provide many of the programmes and events in-house, and one-to-one coaching that can help individuals take the next step or develop new perspectives and solutions.

Alison Johns, Chief Executive at Advance HE, said, “We understand your strategic priorities and ambitions and, as a people organisation, we know that people and leadership development are key to delivering strategic change. Given financial pressures it is more important than ever to ensure that development investment is effective and drives impact.

“We are constantly refreshing our facilitators and content; our conferences address cutting edge themes such as AI and Freedom of Speech. We will be piloting a new Leading Educational Change Programme, enhancing our coaching, and launching an alumni offer for TMP and Aurora so participants can further benefit from a valuable peer network.”

Tracy Bell-Reeves, Executive Director, Delivery, Knowledge and Quality at Advance HE, said, “The launch of our annual portfolio of programmes and events is an exciting time of the year, one we are immensely proud of and look forward to.

"With our desire to be a people-focused organisation, responsive and agile, we never rest on our laurels and each year monitor what we do closely and evolve our offer based on your feedback and consultation from member institutions and individual staff. This ensures we constantly refresh and update what we do, whether it is a well-known programme such as Aurora, or a new offering to better meet your needs and reflect contemporary themes and topics. Impact for you matters to us.

“We look forward to welcoming you to Advance HE.”
