National Teaching Fellow 2001 Professor Ben Knights is seconded from the University of Teesside to be Director of the HE Academy English Subject Centre. He is interested in and has written about:  the pedagogies of English and the Humanities; the crossover between subject and pedagogic scholarship;  masculinities in fiction and in English Studies; responsive writing as a medium for understanding literature and human experience. Most of his time is currently taken up with Subject Centre and Academy business, but he would be happy to talk to other or prospective NTFs.
