Senior Officer for Higher Education Quality & Standards, University Campus, NPTC Group of Colleges

Angharad Morgan is the Senior Officer for Higher Education Quality & Standards at the University Campus, NPTC Group of Colleges in South Wales. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music & Performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, a BA(Hons) in Business, and a PGCE, both from the University of South Wales.

With seventeen years of service at the College, Angharad has transitioned through various roles, joining the University Campus team in 2023 after twelve years as the Bilingual Coordinator and earlier as a College Library Advisor. In her current role, she oversees the efficient operation of higher education administration and coordinates quality assurance and enhancement processes. Angharad's responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality to support an exceptional higher education student experience. She is privileged to work with a dedicated team passionate about higher education and committed to helping our students achieve their aspirations.

Angharad decision's to focus on enhancing bilingual delivery skills for teaching employability skills in higher education, particularly within the Welsh-medium curriculum, stems from her background and fluency in Welsh, a skill cultivated from a young age through Welsh-speaking family and education. Angharad experience has shown me the invaluable benefits of bilingualism, both educationally and professionally.

Angharad is a strong advocate for continuous professional development (CPD), and one of her significant motivations has been the success of our Work Welsh project for FE and HE staff. Angharad was immensely proud when the College received the 'Work Welsh Employer of the Year' award in 2020.

She is excited to have the opportunity to meet all at the 2024 CBHE Festival of Scholarly Activity and Research."
