Aranee Manoharan

Aranee is an HE professional with experience across teaching, student success, educational development, governance, and EDI. Having worked in both Russell Group and Post-1992 provider contexts, she is knowledgeable about the experiences and needs of staff in both research-intensive and teaching-focused institutions; taking the learning from both to inform her coaching, training, and consulting practice. Having served on a University Board, she is confident in working with Board Members and Executive Teams, especially in relation to inclusive approaches to governance, strategy, and leadership.

Currently a Senior Associate Director at King’s College London, Aranee is also a qualified coach who is experienced in facilitating action learning sets and peer-learning. She contributes to a number of Advance HE leadership programmes focused on supporting a greater diversity of HE professionals achieve senior leadership positions within the sector.

With a broad, intersectional EDI knowledge base and in-depth understanding of race equity, Aranee has contributed to and led the Race Equality Charter and is an Athena SWAN panelist; a role model on Advance HE’s women leaders programme, Aurora; and a member of a number of EDI advisory boards. She has a specific interest in inclusive leadership and management development that empowers future leaders to cultivate an authentic and compassionate leadership approach.
