Margaret Price is Professor Emerita of Assessment and Learning at Oxford Brookes University UK.  As a researcher she has strong roots in the practice of teaching and assessment. She was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2002 in recognition of her excellence in teaching and contribution to the development of learning, teaching and assessment in Higher Education. Her research has focused on the nature of assessment standards and student engagement with assessment feedback. From 2005 – 2016 she was Director of Assessment Standards Knowledge exchange (ASKe) Pedagogy Research Centre, a centre for excellence in learning and teaching.

She has been involved in numerous research and development of practice projects at course, institutional, national and international level to encourage innovation and foster evidence-based assessment practice within HE. Currently she is member of Advance HE Degree standards project focused on academic standards used by external examiners and how they can be assured.
