Robert Ajani works at Global Banking School London (GBS) as the leading consultant lecturer at Education, Learning and Teaching department responsible for developing, managing and promoting excellence in teaching and learning. He has been instrumental in setting up GBS Institute for Educational Research (InfER) and involved in Assistant Lecturer Training programme and HEA Fellowship coaching and mentoring programme. He is the author of many GBS pedagogical resources which support lecturers’ performance namely, Lecturer Essentials, Classroom Management and Student Engagement, Upholding the Principles of Learning and Teaching at GBS, Supporting GBS Students’ Transition from work life to university culture as well as Teaching to meet Students’ Expectations. His responsibility includes working with a diverse and international team of academics to promote teaching excellence and build a positive culture where teachers and students collaborate effectively to achieve student success and individual objectives. He specialises in providing educational access for non-traditional learners, with a keen interest in widening participation groups. 

Robert is broadly educated and widely travelled and has taught in many countries across the world. He holds BSc. Political science at University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His MA & Ph.D. Media Communication Science at Westphalia Wilhelm University Germany. Also, he completed MBA at German Business Academy and BSc Oil & Gas Management at University of Plymouth, where he also did Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice (PGCHEP). He is also being completing his second PhD in Marketing of Renewable Energy at Glasgow Caledonian University. Robert Ajani is the author of many academic publications and recently contributed to a book.
