Sara Brown has worked for DN Colleges for almost 5 years as a Specialist Subject Lecturer on Health and Social Care and is currently the Programme Lead for the FdSc/ BSc in Mental Health and Wellbeing. Sara joined the University in 2019 after gaining a First Class BA (Hons) in Children, Learning and Development (Early Childhood). Sara has extensive experience of Nursing practice and health care, Public Health, Training, and Management. Twelve years’ experience in the Navy including five years as a Commissioned Officer in the Queen Alexandra Royal Naval Nursing Service, providing high-quality care for service personnel and their families both in the UK and overseas. Sara loves the Arts and represents Drama on the Scunthorpe Musical Festival Committee under the umbrella of the British and International Federation of Festivals. She believes that confidence is developed through creative expression and encourages this within her lectures.
