Job Title:Associate Professor in History and Director

Dr Raphael Hallett is Director of the Leeds Institute for Teaching Excellence  (LITE) and Associate Professor In Early Modern History at Leeds. His areas of educational specialism are interdisciplinary programme design, employability and digital literacy. He has recently led two major projects at Leeds: the design of their new Liberal Arts degree programme and the design and delivery of a cross-campus module, Studying in a Digital Age . He is a National Teaching Fellow and has worked with JISC and HEA on multiple projects and events.
Job Title:Principal Lecturer Physiotherapy

Year: 2016
Kate Grafton qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 and worked for many years as a highly specialised cardiovascular and respiratory clinician working in the fields of intensive care, oncology, transplant and surgery within the NHS.

Dr Sam Nolan has occupied a number of roles at Durham University. His focus has grown from personal innovation in teaching and support of his own students, to supporting students and staff more broadly across the university. He has become increasingly interested in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), and actively publishes and supports others to share best practice within their disciplines.

Dr Sarah Scott is Associate Professor in the School of Archaeology and Ancient History, University of Leicester. She received a University 'Distinguished Teaching Fellowship' in recognition of teaching excellence in July 2013 and became a Senior Fellow of the HEA in 2015.

Since winning the NTF award (2016), Julie has become a professor on the teaching and scholarship pathway. She researches disability in higher education and has lived experience of chronic illness. She is an active champion supporting teaching-focused staff in gaining rewards and recognition.

Dr Sarah Curran started her academic career in 2001 at the University of Bristol as a research assistant and moved to Cardiff Metropolitan University as a lecturer a year later, progressing to her current role as Reader and Principal Lecturer.

Dr Sarah Dyer is a Senior Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Exeter. Since joining the department in 2011 she has championed inquiry-led teaching, collaborative learning, and writing for authentic audiences.

Dr Julia Pansini-Murrell is a member of academic staff within the Faculty of Health Studies. Dr Pansini-Murrell has a reputation for creative and inspirational teaching and introduced Problem Based Learning into the undergraduate midwifery curriculum from 1995 with a full curriculum being implemented from 2000.

Following a career as a community nurse specialising in school nursing, Sarah Sherwin moved to work within higher education. She has extensive experience as the course leader for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing School Nursing, and is involved in delivering a range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Sarah is committed to delivering teaching in innovative ways to inspire and actively engage students in their own learning and development.
Job Title:Director and Associate Professor of Enterprise for the Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies

Since joining the University of Leeds, Dr Sarah Underwood has developed a range of enterprise-related modules and activities for all undergraduates and more specifically for medical and healthcare students. She has established the new discipline of social enterprise at the university and launched many new elective modules as well as an MSc in Enterprise.

Jennifer Field is a Professor of Primary Mathematics Education at the University of Greenwich. Jennifer is passionate about changing attitudes towards mathematics and educating teachers to see it as a rich, creative subject. She has an excellent reputation for inspirational pedagogical approaches which have improved teaching in the primary classroom both locally and nationally over the past 3 decades.

Year: 2016
On completion of her training Dr Sharon Edwards worked for two years as a senior staff nurse on an acute medical ward, where she consolidated her training and developed practical and managerial skills. Following this position she transferred clinical experience to cardiac and respiratory specialties and intensive care nursing. Her philosophy of delivering patient care consists of the holistic approach and involves the multi-disciplinary team, relatives, partners and significant others.
