Advance HE has appointed Ciara Brown as its new international partnership manager with a particular remit to support HE providers in the Middle East to get the most from the organisation’s services.
Ciara joins Advance HE with a wealth of experience in international education, particularly from her time at Queen’s University Belfast in which her role focussed on international student recruitment and progression.
Global perspective
“Having travelled extensively throughout my career and having spent some of my studies overseas, I have a genuine passion for providing HE institutions, wherever they are on the globe, with the services and support they need to be the best they can be,” said Ciara.
“I’m looking forward to meeting higher education leaders in the Middle East next month and developing strong relationships which will see institutions get the recognition they deserve and deliver the best possible experience to their students and staff.”
Shared core values
Ciara has a particular interest in internationalisation.
“The future of internationalisation has the potential to be based on a strong sense of shared core values,” she said.
“It’s really exciting to be part of an organisation helping to shape that future with our objectives of enhancing confidence and trust in higher education, addressing systemic inequalities, and advancing education to meet the evolving needs of students and society.”
Ciara holds a degree in French and Spanish as well as professional qualifications in teaching, project management and intercultural fluency. She has spoken at sector events such as the British Council’s Services for International Education Marketing conference.
